DETROIT, MI – The Corktown Races and St. Patrick’s Day Parade will take place in the city of Detroit with thousands spectators expected to participate and view the festivities.
Detroit Police want attendees and participants to enjoy themselves and to be mindful that barricades will be erected to restrict vehicular traffic along the parade route. Please arrive early and use alternate routes to get to and from your destination. Additionally, please be mindful that open intoxicants on a public street is illegal. Proper action will be taken when violations occur.
The Corktown Races will began at 9:30 a.m. and conclude at 11:30 a.m. Upon the conclusion of the races, the St. Patrick’s Day Parade will began at 12:30 p.m. and conclude at approximately 3:00 p.m. Again, road
blockage is to be expected along the parade route.
When: Sunday, March 11, 2018 at 9:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Where: Vehicular Restrictions: Beginning in the area of Michigan Avenue and Griswold Street and ending in the area of Michigan Avenue and 14th street
