DORR TOWNSHIP, MI – The subject of a missing person search, David Lewis Amerson, was located early this afternoon, Monday March 12th, 2018 and was found dead. There is no foul play suspected as to the cause of his death.
On Saturday, March 10th 2018, deputies from the Allegan County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to the Amerson residence in Dorr Twp. for a missing person report.
The missing person was identified as David Lewis Amerson. He was reported as missing from his residence by family members after he failed to meet them for a scheduled event.
Amerson’s family stated that David Amerson was a friendly family orientated individual who kept to himself and worked full time at Weller Truck Parts Reman Center in Wyoming, MI.
David Amerson was a 36 year old man who was last seen at a family member’s home in the Grand Rapids area around 11:00 pm on Friday March 9th as he was departing for his own home. Amerson’s vehicle was found at his residence and there are no other vehicle’s associated with him at the time that the search for him got underway.
The Allegan County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Michigan State Police in today’s search.
