SOUTHGATE, MI – Jamie Lyn Stefanko, 35-years-old, of Ecorse, has been charged in connection with leaving her infant child unattended in her car in the Southgate Sam’s Club parking lot.police marz llights

On March 14, 2018 at approximately 5:00 p.m., Southgate police officers were dispatched to the Sam’s Club parking lot in the 15000 block of Northline Road in Southgate in response to report of a child left in a vehicle unattended. Upon arrival, the officers observed the child in the vehicle unattended. Jamie Stefanko was arrested at the scene.

Jamie Stefanko has been charged with misdemeanors Child Abuse – Fourth Degree and Child-Abuse – Leaving a Child Unattended in a Vehicle. She is expected to be arraigned on the warrant on Monday, March 16, 2018 at 9:00 a.m. in 28th District Court.
