SHERMAN TOWNSHIP, MI – On Thursday March 15th, 2018, around 6:30PM, Huron County Sheriff’s Deputies acted on information from the Sanilac County Drug Task Force about illegal drug activity in Huron County.
This information was related to investigations that the Sanilac County Sheriff’s Office was working on in their jurisdiction. The tip led to obtaining a search warrant for a residence and vehicles in the 3800 block of Eppenbrock Rd., in Sherman Township. With the assistance of Sanilac County, the search warrant was served, which resulted in a 24-year-old Ubly woman and a 37-year-old Snover man being arrested for felony possession of cocaine.
Both apparently had been taken off guard by the entry of the Deputies, as both loaded and spent syringes used to inject cocaine were located and seized. Paraphilia, cell phones and around $300 in cash were also confiscated.
The pair were taken to the Huron County Jail and formal charges and arraignment will be forthcoming this afternoon. As of the time of this press release, both remained in jail unable to post a $400 and $1000 bond.
A third person who had just left the residence in his vehicle and was about a mile away as the Deputies were arriving was also arrested. That individual is a 46-year-old man from Harbor Beach and is being charged with operating under the presence of drugs.
The suspect posted his $350 bond today and has since been released. Other charges involving all may be considered at another time.
