Crossing Guard Struck by Vehicle in Mt. Clemens

MOUNT CLEMENS, MI – On Friday March 3rd, 2018, at approximately 7:50am, Macomb County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to the area of Cass Ave. near S. Rose St. for a pedestrian struck by a vehicle.Fatal Car pedestrian

The adult pedestrian was struck by a maroon minivan. The pedestrian was transported to the hospital and is in critical condition. No one else was injured. The driver of the minivan is cooperating with Sheriff’s deputies.

The pedestrian was actually a teacher was working as a crossing guard on Cass Ave. near Prevail Academy in Mt. Clemens Friday when the accident happened. According to the Macomb County Sheriff’s office, the 57-year-old Lenox Township woman is a teacher at Prevail Academy in Mt. Clemens. No children were injured.

The name of the victim has not yet been released.
