MACOMB COUNTY, MI – On Saturday March 24th, 2018, at approximately 3:00pm, Macomb County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the Kroger store located at 21 Mile Rd. and Card for a male who had been shot himself in the foot. No one else was injured.News Updates

The 23 year old male out of Macomb Township was transported to the hospital by his companion and received treatment for his injuries. He was cooperative with deputies and stated that the discharge of the firearm was accidental as he was adjusting his holster. The man does have a valid CPL license.

A warrant with one count of Weapons – Firearms – Reckless Use (90 day misdemeanor) has been authorized by the Macomb County Prosecutor’s Office.

School Threats Update

Mt. Clemens, MI. – The threats complaint taken on 3/23/18 at the Mt. Clemens High School is still being investigated. No one has been taken into custody at this time.

Macomb County Clerk being Investigated

Mt. Clemens, MI. – The Macomb County Sheriff’s Office has received a complaint regarding travel expenditures made by Macomb County Clerk Karen Spranger and is currently investigating it.
