PONTIAC, MI – An 18-year-old Pontiac man was arrested on Tuesday March 27th, 2018, on a felony warrant when he had in his possession blank credit cards and a card reader while he reported to his probation officer for his scheduled appointment.
Oakland county Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the Oakland County Probation Department located in building 26 East on the Government Complex for a report of an 18-year-old man reporting for his probation appointment who had an outstanding Felony Warrant for his arrest issued by the 50th District Court for Possession of a Financial Transaction Device to commit Fraud. The subject was detained by Probation Officers until Deputies arrived on scene.
During a search of the subject, incident to arrest, a mini credit card reader, 22 blank credit cards, and $760.00 in cash was located on his person. The subject denied any knowledge of the confiscated items or how they came to be in his possession. The subject was lodged at the Oakland County Jail for the outstanding warrant. Detectives were advised and are continuing the investigation into the blank credit cards and card reader.
