3 Dead in Horrific Crash at Telegraph and West Chicago in Redford Township [Video] [Updated]

REDFORD TOWNSHIP, MI – Three women are dead and Redford Township were on scene of a horrific accident on Telegraph Rd and West Chicago early this morning.

The crash happened at about 2:05 AM on Thursday March 29th, 2018.

A gray 2008 Kia Optima was traveling south on Telegraph from Plymouth Rd. The vehicle was traveling at a high rate of speed, lost control and struck a pole in the median at West Chicago. Witnessess said the vehicle was traveling at a high rate of speed southbound on Telegraph Road. Possibly speeds of 100 miles per hour or higher

2 of the 3 women were ejected from the vehicle. It took emergency workers a couple of hours to remove the body of the third victim that was trapped inside of the unrecognizable vehicle. The Jaws of Life were used to extricate the woman from the car.

As a result of the crash, all 3 occupants of the vehicle were killed. The victims are all females. Two of the women are possibly from the Muskegon area, and the third is unidentified.  The vehicle, a Kia Optima, was registered out of Romulus.

Witness Nikki White, who was on her way to work, stated that she was made turn around and go in the wrong direction. This would indicate that this will be a lengthy investigation as to what took place.

Telegraph Rd was closed for several hours and has since reopened
