MSP Investigating Armed Robbery of Sprint Store in Monroe County [Video]

FRENCHTOWN TOWNSHIP, MI – On Monday, April 16TH, 2018, at approximately 6:35 pm, Troopers from the Monroe Post responded to the Sprint Store located in the 1400 block of North Telegraph Road in Frenchtown Township after a 911 caller reported a robbery at the location.

Upon arrival, troopers were advised that two male subjects entered the store and began looking at the cellular phone display models. An employee approached the men and asked them if they needed assistance. The suspects displayed knives to the store employee, and then used the knives to cut the security tethers on the display phones. The suspects stole several of the display phones, and fled the store on foot.

The two suspects were described as black males, wearing grey hooded sweatshirts, in their early to mid-twenties.

Troopers are asking citizens for their assistance in providing any tips that could lead to the arrest of the suspects. Anyone having information is asked to call the Monroe Post at 734-2423500 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-SPEAKUP.
