TROY, MI – Police in Troy arrested a woman who was acting crazy after she allegedly stole a vehicle in Clawson, ended up in the parking lot of Home Depot and then struck a patrol car with the stolen vehicle.
Troy Police Officers responded to the Home Depot parking lot located at 1177 Coolidge Highway on April 19th, 2018, at 1:18AM, to check on the welfare of a woman who was standing outside a vehicle in her bare feet in the parking lot acting crazy. Officers received information that the vehicle had just been report stolen by the Clawson Police Department.
As officers were arriving, the suspect had just driven the vehicle out of the parking lot of Home Depot. The officers located the vehicle and attempted a traffic stop. The woman had stopped but began to back-up, striking two police vehicles. The officers were able to box their patrol vehicles around the vehicle, a gray 2015 Chrysler 200, preventing her from leaving or causing further damage.
The officers approached the vehicle but the driver would not cooperate. The driver’s door window had to be broken-out and the driver was removed from the vehicle. She was arrested and transported to the police lock-up facility where she continued to be uncooperative and either screamed or sang.
Found in her purse were two used syringes. Officers were able to identify her as a 20 year old woman from Lanse.
She was charged with Felonious Assault, Malicious Destruction of Property, Flee or Elude a Police Officer, and Possession of Narcotic Paraphernalia.
