ALLEGAN, MI – A motorcyclist and his passenger were injured when a vehicle entered their right of way and the motorcycle struck a car on M-40 at 102nd Ave in Trowbridge Township.
On Monday April 23rd, 2018, near 6:26pm, Allegan County Central Dispatch received a call for a personal injury crash at the intersection of M-40 Hwy and 102nd Ave in Trowbridge Township.
Allegan County Sheriff’s Deputies responded on scene to find the crash involved a 4dr passenger car and a motorcycle. Initial investigation revealed that the passenger car was traveling eastbound on 102nd Ave and came to a stop at the stop sign, while M-40 has the right a way. The passenger car failed to yield and pulled out in front of the southbound motorcycle.
Both occupants were not wearing helmets on the motorcycle and suffered injuries. They were transported to a hospital where they are still listed in critical condition. Marijuana is believed to be a factor for the at fault driver.
The Allegan County Sheriff’s Office Reconstruction Team is continuing to investigate.
