FLINT, MI – A Grand Blanc man finds himself on the wrong side of the law again after it is alleged that he shot two people at a sports bar last weekend.
Genesee County Prosecutor David Leyton today charged a Grand Blanc man in the weekend shooting that left two people injured outside a Grand Blanc Township sports bar. Darrell Patrick Hunter, 48-years-old, is charged with nine felonies including attempted murder after evidence from a police investigation revealed that Hunter shot two individuals in the parking lot at Kickers Sports Bar & Grill about 1:45AM on Sunday, May 6th. A 26-year-old woman and a 35-year-old man were shot. The shootings occurred after a fight among a group of people on an outdoor deck at the establishment spilled into the parking lot.
Darrell Hunter is charged with two counts of assault with intent to murder, four counts of felony firearm as a second time offender, one count of possession of a firearm by a felon, one count of possession of ammunition by a felon, and one count of carrying a concealed weapon. If convicted on the charges, he could be sentenced to life in prison.
Arrangement is in 67th District Court.
Based on records from the Michigan Department of Corrections, Darrell Hunter was on parole at the time of the shooting. He was released from prison on April 6th, 2017 He has previous convictions for:
