Detroit Police seeks help to catch Abduction Suspect

DETRIOT, MI – Detroit Police have released a sketch and would like to identify and locate a suspect who has tired to abduct a child on the city’s east side.

The Detroit Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying and locating a suspect in the attempt abduction that occurred on the city’s east side.

On May 23, 2018 at approximately 7:00 a. m- 7:30 a.m., in the area of E. 8 mile and Shakespeare, the victim was walking to school from her home toward E. 8 mile and oticed a black four door car with tinted back windows drive pass her multiple times. As the victim reached the corner of E. 8 mile and Shakespeare, the suspect exited the  described vehicle and grabbed the victim’s right arm attempting to force her into his vehicle. 

A witness observed the incident happening, stopped and intervened causing the suspect to flee in the black four door vehicle in an unknown direction. Suspect: is described as a B/M/40’s -,5’10”-6’0”, weighing over 200 lbs., dark complexion, beard and mustache, wearing a black baseball cap, dark colored shirt, black pants and brown shoes.
