Mayville Residents advised to lock Vehicles after Rash of Items Stolen

MAYVILLE, MI  – Michigan State Police Troopers from the Caro Post are investigating a recent rash of larcenies from  motor vehicles. lock it or lose it

In the morning hours of June 1, 2018 Troopers received several complaints from citizens within the community of Mayville advising that their vehicle has been broken into. Troopers have received 4 separate complaints of vehicles being broken into with several personal items being stolen.

Three of the vehicle were unlocked and contained valuables inside. At this time there has been two firearms reported as being stolen from within the vehicles. Troopers are reminding citizens to lock their vehicles at all times and limit the number of items left in the vehicles. Firearms should never be left in your vehicle.
