DETROIT, MI – At approximately 11:45 PM Friday evening, one person was killed and another critically injured near the intersection of W Six Mile Rd and Snowden St.
Detroit Police and medics responded to the scene on June 15th, 2018, concerning two people who had been struck by a white 2015 Dodge SUV by a 68-year-old man.
The motorist stated he was driving westbound on 6 mile when two people ran out in front of him as he was driving. The motorist stopped at the scene. Witnesses at the scene claimed the same information.
An 18-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene and an 18-year-old man is in the hospital in critical condition.
Earlier today MI Headlines had relied on information from others who had been at the scene who stated this was a shooting incident. Those witnesses had their information incorrect that they provided to us. As soon as there were a question about the incident, we pulled that article until we could communicate with Detroit Police Media Relations.
