NEW BOSTON, MI – Huron Township Police released the 911 call that came in that brought them to Quality Pipe concerning an active shooter.
On 06/20/18 at 1:54p.m., The Huron Township Police Department responded to Quality Pipe on Huron River Drive in reference to an active shooter incident that was in progress at that time.
At the conclusion of the incident, they advised media that they were speaking with a person of interest in the incident. The person of interest was released on 06/20/18.
Patrol Staff and Detectives worked through the evening and into yesterday morning gathering information and interviewing witnesses.
Based on that follow up investigation, on 06/21/18, the Huron Township Police Department arrested two individuals in reference to this incident. Both suspects posted bond and were released from custody. The weapon was recovered on 06/21/18 at the crime scene (Quality Pipe).
Arrested were Jeffery Dale Hamilton, 44 years old, of Wyandotte, an employee of business. He was charged with Reckless discharge of a firearm and Obstruction of Justice,
Also arrested was Roger Michael Melton, 67 years old, of Bloomfield Village, the Business Owner.
