Detroit Police asking for Help to Capture Barbershop Murder Suspect

DETROIT, MI – Detroit Police need assistance from the public to help capture, Jamar Woodmore, the man suspected in a murder that took place on the city’s west side yesterday afternoon.

The Detroit Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in locating a suspect wanted in connection to a fatal shooting that occurred on the city’s west side. Police say the shooting happened outside The Final Cut Barbershop on Seven Mile and Littlefield.

On Thursday, June 28th, 2018, at 4:30 p.m., in the 13000 block of W. 7 Mile, the suspect, Jamar Lavon Woodmore, engaged in a physical altercation with the victim outside of the location. Police said the suspect and the victim were both employed at The Final Cut Barbershop and they got into an argument while at work.

The argument continued outside of the business. After the scuffle, the 27-year-old victim entered the barbershop. Shortly after, the suspect removed a hand gun from his vehicle which was parked nearby.

Jamar Woodmore then entered the business and fired multiple shots fatally striking the victim who is identified on social media as Leon Alejandro Twofour Sosa. Woodmore then exited the location and fled the scene in a black 2017 Jeep Cherokee headed in an unknown direction.

The suspect is described as a 29 year old black male, light complexion, 5’-8”, and 230 lbs. He is also described to wear a full beard.
