DETROIT, MI – Jamar Levon Woodmore, 29-years-old, of Plymouth, has been charged in connection with the fatal shooting of Leon Webb, 27-years-old, of Detroit.
On June 26, 2018, at 3:45 p.m. both men were employed by the Final Cut Barbershop located in the 13300 block of West Seven Mile Road when it is alleged that they had a verbal argument that escalated into a physical fight outside of the shop.
After losing the fight it is alleged that Woodmore went to his car, retrieved a hand gun, and fatally shot Webb. Woodmore fled the location in his car.
Webb was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
On June 30, 2018 Woodmore turned himself in to the police and was placed under arrest. He has been charged with First Degree Murder,Carrying a Concealed Weapon, Felon in Possession of a Firearm and Felony Firearm.
Woodmore was arraigned at 10:30 a.m. this morning before 36th District Court Magistrate Millicent Sherman. The probable cause conference is scheduled for July 17, 2018 at 8:30 a.m.; the preliminary examination is scheduled for July 24, 2018 at 1:30 p.m. Both hearings are before Judge Kenneth King in 36th District Court. The defendant was remanded to jail.
