DETROIT, MI – The Wayne County Prosecutors Office has issued updated information concerning three cases that are making their way through the courts at this time.
Thomas Lane – Woodhaven defendant charged in connection with the homicides of Mark Allan Harris 56, and his wife Catherine Anne Markowski, all of Flat Rock, Michigan. Defendant Lane had been living in the home of his sister, Ms. Markowski, and his brother-in-law, Mr. Harris, for several months prior to their deaths. Today his preliminary examination has been scheduled for July 17, 2018 to continue on July 24, 2018.
Samiya Speed – Defendant charged in OWI crash that killed the road worker. She waived her preliminary examination today. The arraignment on the information is scheduled for July 24, 2018, however, the date may be changed.
Jerold Blanding – Defendant DPD police officer charged with an incident where he possessed a firearm under the influence of alcohol, and resisting and obstructing the police at an injury accident scene on Puritan in January 2018. Today Judge Vonda Evans adjourned the final conference date from July 12, 2018 until August 2, 2018 at 9:00 a.m.
