Detroit Police searching for Downtown Assault Suspect

DETROIT, MI – The Detroit Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying and locating a suspect wanted in connection to an assault that occurred in the downtown area.Downtown Assault Suspect

On Wednesday, July 4th, 2018, at approximately 11:00 p.m., a 53 year old man was leaving a convenience store in the 2000 block of Woodward behind a group of males. A male suspect left the group and approached the victim striking him in his left eye with an unknown object.

The victim was transported to the hospital by EMS and was in serious condition at the time of incident.
