3 Facing Multiple Charges after Traffic Stop in Ionia County


IONIA, MI – On Thursday August 9th, 2018, the Ionia County Sheriff’s Office arrested three subjects on charges of false information to a police officer, possession of controlled substance, and smuggling contraband into a correctional facility.

At approximately 8:10, the assigned Otisco Township deputy was conducting traffic enforcement on Zahm Rd and made contact with three subjects in a vehicle. During the contact with the three subjects, the deputy located a quantity of marijuana in the motor vehicle. Further investigation revealed that one of the subjects was in possession of paraphernalia commonly associated with the use of heroin. All three subjects were taken into custody and transported to the Ionia County Jail.

Once at the Ionia County Jail, all three subjects were fingerprinted and it was discovered that they gave false information to the deputy about their identification and were subsequently charged for that in addition to the possession of a controlled substance. One of the subjects, Latina Millen, was found attempting to smuggle heroin into the Ionia County Jail but it was discovered by a corrections officer and confiscated.

All three subjects were arraigned this afternoon on drug charges and false identification charges, and are being held in the Ionia County Jail.

Justin Jenkins 29 year old from Belding – Possession of Marijuana and False Information to a Police Officer. Jenkins also had several warrants outstanding for his arrest and is being held with no bond.

Latina Millen 28 years old from Greenville – Possession of Heroin (felony), Jail – Furnishing Contraband to Prisoners/Possession (felony), Possession of Marijuana. She is being held with a $10,000 bond.

Jesse Moore 26 year old from Orleans – Possession of Marijuana, False Information to a Police Officer, and Drove While License Expired. He is being held on a $1000 bond.
