Green Light Location Helps to Put Murder Suspect Behind Bars

DETROIT, MI – A Project Green Light Detroit location helped to put a murder suspect behind bars and off the streets of Detroit.Deangelo Davis

On Monday, May 28th, 2018, a 41 year old man was at the Citgo gas station located at 15439 Schoolcraft. While at the gas station, the 41 year old victim exchanged words with a male suspect.

After the exchange, the victim entered his vehicle, and pulled out of the gas station parking lot. The suspect got into a Chevy Equinox and followed behind the victim. The suspect then pulled alongside the victim’s vehicle and began firing multiple shots, fatally wounding the 41-year-old man.

Investigators immediately conducted an investigation. Green light video assisted investigators in locating and identifying the suspect. A search warrant was executed and the suspect was arrested in the 14500 block of Whitcomb, on July 18th, 2018 and was transported to the Detroit Detention Center for processing.

A warrant package was submitted to the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office for review and approval. The suspect, identified as 41-year old Deangelo Terrell Davis, was arraigned on July 20th, 2018 and charged with the following:

  • Homicide-Murder First Degree-Premeditated
    Assault with Intent to Murder
    Weapons-Felony Firearm.

Deangelo Davis was bond over to the Wayne County Jail and is being held without bond.
