DETROIT, MI – The scene was confusing when Detroit Police arrived on Andover Street just shortly after 3:00AM on Tuesday August 14th, 2018, when they were called to respond to a shooting that had just occurred.
It is unknown how many broke into the home in the 19600 block of Andover and announced a holdup but police found that two men had been shot when all was said and done. One of those men, Nehemiah Marsh also known as Nemo, was in cardiac arrest when they arrived. The other had been shot in the ankle.
Then across the street, in a different home, there was a medical emergency that was taking place at the same time that had no connection to that crime scene. That person was also in cardiac arrest. Detroit Police began CPR on both victims until EMS arrived on scene to take over at both locations.
All three were transported to Henry Ford Hospital.
Nehemiah Marsh, who was in his 30’s, was shot in the abdomen. Marsh died shortly after being transported to the hospital. The second victim, who is in his 50’s, that was shot in the ankle, was treated and released.
The cardiac patient that was found across the street from the crime scene also did not survive. He too was pronounced dead shortly after being transported to Henry Ford Hospital.
Names of the victims have not been released at this time. There are also no descriptions as to who police are looking for in this crime
