The responding Deputies took control of the residence and its four occupants, with one of them bleeding from a cut hand. Central Huron Ambulance responded where the victim was treated and refused further treatment at a hospital.

Through witness accounts and interviews of the victim and suspect, the Deputies determined that 37-year-old Jill Tenbusch of Harbor Beach had gotten into an argument with her 34-year-old acquaintance Wayne Cochrane, who resides at the residence where the assault took place.

The argument escalated between the two where a physical altercation took place. The became heated to the point where Jill Tenbusch retrieved a large kitchen knife and allegedly attempted to stab Wayne Cochrane.

While fending off the attack, Cochrane claimed that his hand was cut by the knife.

Jill Tenbusch was arrested for felonious assault and lodged in the Huron County Jail. Today she was formally charged and arraigned. As of the time of this release, she remains in jail on a $5000 cash bond.
