On Wednesday, at approximately 7:50PM, several neighbors had called 9-1-1 to report a disturbance between a man and a woman at the residence. Upon their arrival, witnesses directed Deputies to the side of the residence where they observed a red Dodge Dart resting on top of a man who was lying beneath the front passenger side of the vehicle. The Orion Township Fire Department used a jack to free the subject and began administering life-saving measures to the victim.

The investigation revealed that a 26 year old woman, from Clarkston and her 29 year old boyfriend, of Orion Township, had become involved in a domestic dispute. After the female was assaulted by the male, the woman attempted to leave the residence in her vehicle to get away from the boyfriend. The man jumped onto the hood of the vehicle. The woman had backed up the vehicle, striking a tree. The boyfriend fell from the hood and on to the ground. The woman then drove forward, running the man over. She immediately stopped the vehicle when she had realized that he was trapped underneath the vehicle.

The boyfriend was transported via ALS by Paramedics to McLaren-Oakland Hospital where he is listed in critical condition. The woman was transported by Deputies to St. Joseph’s Mercy Hospital in the City of Pontiac for medical treatment regarding injuries that she had sustained during the physical altercation with her boyfriend. The female is listed in stable condition. Detectives are continuing with the investigation. The girlfriend has since been released from the hospital.

It is unclear if either will face charges from the incident.
