DETROIT, MI – Two 18-year-old’s have been charged with the murder of Detroit Firefighter Jack Wiley.
Arondez Carter, 18-years-old, and Shomari Walker, 18-years-old, have been charged in connection with the killing of Jack Wiley, 28-year-old, an off-duty Detroit Firefighter.
It is alleged that both Mr. Carter and Mr. Walker were in Mr. Wiley’s home and planned to rob Mr. Wiley. During the course of the robbery, Mr. Wiley was shot and killed. The defendants then took Mr. Wiley’s belongings and fled the scene. They later set fire to some of the stolen goods to conceal the theft.
Both men are charged with Felony Murder, First Degree Premeditated Murder, Armed Robbery, Tampering with Evidence, 4th Degree Arson, and Felony Firearm.
Jack Wiley was found murdered inside his home Tuesday morning by his sister at about 9:15AM. That house is in the 15000 block of Penrod on Detroit’s west side.
They were arraigned today at 34th District Court in Romulus.
