Medical Condition may be cause of Indecent Exposure incident in Oakland County

ROCHESTER HILLS, MI – Oakland County Deputies responded to the parking lot of the Target store located in the 2800 block of S. Rochester Rd on the report of a man who was seen to be masturbating inside a green Chevrolet Trailblazer.

The incident was witnessed by two 14-year-old girls and an 18-year-old girl, who notified their parents of the incident. The girl’s parents called 9-1-1 to report the incident.

Upon their arrival, Deputies located the person seated inside of the Trailblazer. The man had his pants undone and his genitalia exposed. The driver was taken into custody without incident. An Evidence Technician processed the vehicle and collected evidence found inside. The vehicle was subsequently impounded.

A Detective responded to the substation to speak with the suspect. The suspect, a 74 year old man, of Rochester Hills, made admissions to Detectives regarding the incident during his interview. Due to the suspect’s severe medical ailments and condition, the suspect was released pending the issuance of criminal charges. The incident will be presented to the Oakland County Prosecutor’s Office.
