Romulus Police make Arrests in IPad Thefts from School

ROMULUS, MI – On three occasions the suspects below broke into Halecreek Elementary School. During the third incident, the suspects took approximately 40 silver/black iPads belonging to the school.Romulus Suspects

The Romulus Police Department received several tips from the community that led to the identification of the suspects involved in this theft. Romulus Police detectives executed search warrants at the following locations:

1. A residence in the City of Taylor.
2. IPhone repair center located at 23500 Eureka Road Taylor, MI.
3. Metro PCS store located at 27202 Eureka Road Taylor, MI.
4. Shell Gas Station located at 27460 Eureka Road Romulus, MI.

Detectives were able to recover approximately thirty-five IPAD devices.

One suspect, a 17-year-old of Taylor, is in custody. They are still actively looking for the other two suspects, Davon Thomas and Dawaun Peoples.

They will be seeking charges against anyone involved with receiving, selling, or concealing these stolen devices.

They intend to return these devices to Romulus Community Schools (Halecreek Elementary) in time for the upcoming school year.
