Mount Clemens Homeless Man Arraigned on Assault Charges

MOUNT CLEMENS, MI – On September 21, 2018, the suspect, Robert Allen III, in the case of a homeless man being assaulted outside of the Macomb County Court House, was arrested in the city of Mt. Clemens.

The suspect, like the victim, is currently homeless.

The Macomb County Prosecutor’s Office has authorized a two count warrant for the suspect; count 1 Assault with Intent to Murder (life felony) and count 2 Robbery –Unarmed (15 year felony).

After the assault, Robert Allen did take the victim’s backpack containing his personal property. The victim remains in critical condition.

On 9/24/18, Robert Allen III, was arraigned in the 41-B District Court of Clinton Township for the assault and robbery of the 45 year old victim. Allen was given a $100,000 bond and is not to have contact with the victim if he is released on bond. Allen is scheduled to return to court on 10/3/18 at 8:30am for a probable cause conference.
