PORT HURON, MI – On September 30th, 2018, Mack Kuefler allegedly shot his father in the face and then fled the scene of the crime. After an extensive search, Kuefler is behind bars.
According to St. Clair County Sheriff Tim Donnellon, 19 year old Mack Kuefler was placed in custody around 5:00 p.m. on October 8th, 2018, at a home in the 600 block of 11th Street in the city of Port Huron.
The Port Huron Police Major Crimes Unit received a tip that Kuefler was at that address. They responded, along with deputies from the St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office and Port Huron Police Road Patrol. After being told by a woman who was outside the residence that no one was inside, Kuefler was observed looking out a window on the second floor of the home.
After about 15 minutes of negotiating, Kuefler exited the house and was arrested without incident.
Kuefler was transported to the St. Clair County Intervention and Detention Center. A request to charge Kuefler was sent to the St. Clair County Prosecutor’s Office.
