ROSEVILLE, MI – Two men have been arrested for the vicious beating of a blowing alley employee in Roseville on Wednesday October 10, 2018.
Branden Moore, a 31-year-old Detroit man, who was already locked up on unrelated charges in another jurisdiction, is being charged and a 30 year-old Detroit man was arrested in Eastpointe for the incident that left a bowling alley employee injured.
Moore was arraigned in 39th District Court on single counts of assault with intent to do great bodily harm less than murder and interfering with a crime report — committing a crime/threatening to kill or injure, both 10-year felonies. Bond was set at $250,000.
The 2nd person is awaiting arraignment.
A group of individuals were bowling at the Apollo Lanes located at 29410 Gratiot Avenue in Roseville. While bowling, the group became unruly and began creating a disturbance and were asked to leave by an employee. Several members of the group surrounded the bowling counter where the employee was standing.
One suspect, the 31-year-old, reached over the bowling counter and punched the employee in the face, then the 30-year-old suspect, who had stepped behind the counter, began violently assaulting the employee with punches and kicks to the face and body. The first suspect walked behind the counter and picked up a bar stool and struck the employee on the head. As the assault continued, the 31-year-old suspect then picked up a bowling ball and smashed the ball on the back of the employee’s head.
The employee fell to the ground and both subjects continued to kick the employee in the head prior to fleeing the location.
Roseville P.D. would like to thank those individuals who called the police and provided the identity of the suspects that attacked the victim with the bowling ball.
