DETROIT, MI – As you may know, the City of Detroit is ending the annual patrol campaign and launching Halloween in the D.

The new program will expand Halloween activities for kids and their families at police precincts, fire stations and recreation centers this year.

Residents can help in the effort by donating candy or volunteering at an event. Donations of individually wrapped candy can be dropped off at any Detroit Police precinct through Oct. 30.  In addition, residents are asked to decorate their cars for a trunk or treat event.

Attached is a flyer with the details on all the Halloween activities across the city and a second flyer with activities at Recreation centers.

Go to halloweeninthed.org to learn more about this new program and details on how you can get involved.
