KALKASKA COUNTY, MI – Marcus Miller-Amore, 22-years-old, of Kalkaska, was taken into custody shortly after 11:30 p.m. on Sunday after he allegedly assaulted his girlfriend then fled into the woods with a long gun.
The incident began with a 911 call. Initially it was reported that it was traffic stop that the suspect had fled from.
Michigan State Police say the suspect fled into the woods with a long gun after his car broke down on Gregg Road a little after 6 p.m.
MSP Troopers assisted Kalkaska Deputies with a fugitive search in the area of 2105 Gregg Rd near S. Boardman. A white man wearing a dark gray hoody, dark pants, and moccasins ran from a traffic stop armed with a long gun. They identified that person to be Marcus Amore. When authorities issued the information to the public, they considered Amore to be armed and very dangerous.
