DETROIT, MI – A wanted sex offender is on the run in a double fatal shooting that took place at a senior living facility Tuesday evening.
The Detroit Police Department needs assistance in locating a suspect wanted in connection with a double fatal shooting that took place on the city’s east side.
On November 13, 2018, at approximately 9:35 p.m. in the 800 block of Dickerson, a 30-year old female victim met a known suspect at the location. While at the location, an argument ensued resulting in a physical altercation. During the altercation, the victim ran outside while being followed by the suspect and fled. At some point, the suspect retrieved a handgun, returned to the location and shot and fatally wounded two innocent victims (male security guard age 50, and 66-year old female).
After the shooting the suspect fled in an unknown direction driving a dark blue, 2001 Chrysler Town and Country License plate 2E58Y0.
The suspect, identified as James Fleming, is described as 69-year old male, 6’5”-6’7” very slim, light complexion, short gray hair, wearing all black. Armed and Dangerous.
Fleming is required to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life time. He was convicted in April of 1988 for Criminal sexual conduct – first degree (Multiple Variables).
