DETROIT, MI – The Detroit Police Department would like to advise the community of a suspect who has been entering homes occupied by small children, without permission.
In October and November of this year, an unknown suspect entered the homes of three families residing in the area of 6 Mile and Southfield. While occupants were sleeping inside, the suspect gained entry through either unlocked doors or windows. There have been no reports of injury or stolen items. It has been reported, however, that each house has been home to a very young girl.
The Detroit Police Department is actively investigating these crimes. We ask that the community continue to be mindful, lock your doors at night and warn your children about stranger danger.
If anyone has any information pertaining to these incidents or the suspect, they are asked to please contact Detroit Police at 313-596-5840 or CRIMESTOPPERS at 1-800-SPEAK-UP.
