LUDINGTON, MI – A 35-year-old Baldwin man was arrested after Mason County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a “911 hang up” call in which the female caller stated she was bleeding and then hung up the phone.
The first deputy on scene to the 6700 block of W. Sassafras St was met by an irate man who was yelling in the deputy’s face. This subject refused several commands to step back away from the deputy and each step the deputy took back, the man inched closer.
The suspect was wanted out of Lake County and when being arrested refused to comply with the deputy’s orders to place his hands behind his back. He was taken to jail on the arrest warrants from Lake County and also for Resisting Arrest.
The female caller refused to co-operate with deputies.
