ROSEVILLE, MI – On December 11th, 2018, at about 11:00pm, Roseville Police, Michigan State Police, EMS were called to the scene of a homicide that had taken place near Pinehurst and 12 Mile Road.
Roseville officers responded to a report of shots fired in the area of 12 mile and Pinehurst. Upon arrival the victim was located on the sidewalk and subsequently transported to an area hospital, he was suffering from a gunshot. A 17-year-old male resident of Detroit was pronounced deceased at an area Hospital.
Preliminary suspect information: Authorities are looking for a black male in his early 20s about 6’0” tall, wearing all black. The suspect was last seen running West on 12-mile from the location.
Unknown if there was a vehicle involved.
At this time a motive for the incident has not been determined.

A witness stated that EMS transported an unknown victim from a sidewalk and now police are looking for bullet casings. A K9 tracking unit is also on scene. Authorities are also looking at buildings for security cameras for possible footage of the crime scene.
Officers at the scene have been asking dispatch to contact owners of businesses in the area to determine if the surveillance cameras that are on the owners properties are operational. If they are functioning, those owners are being asked to go to their place of business so officers can review the video that they have on their systems.
