DETROIT, MI – On Saturday January 12th, 2019, at approximately 3:35 AM, Metro South troopers were dispatched to westbound I-96 near Livernois, in the city of Detroit for a single car crash. Investigation revealed that the 26 year old female driver lost control of her vehicle causing it to roll over.
The driver was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle. Troopers started CPR on the scene, she was transported to a local hospital by EMS where she died from her injuries.
Alcohol may have been a factor in the crash. Next of kin have not been notified. The freeway has reopened and the crash investigation continues by the Metro South Post.
