PONTIAC, MI – A 33-year-old Pontiac man is in stable condition after his girlfriend stabbed him on Friday February 8th, 2019.
At approximately 7:25PM, Oakland County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the 300 block of Baldwin Rd on the report of a stabbing. Upon their arrival, Deputies arrived on the scene and announced their presence. They entered the residence and found the victim sitting on the couch in the living room. The victim advised Deputies that he had just been stabbed by his 30-year-old girlfriend following a verbal argument between them. Deputies secured the scene. The victim informed Deputies that his girlfriend had just left in his black Cadillac sedan. Deputies requested Paramedics from Star EMS to respond to the scene.
The victim was stabbed on the left upper shoulder area. Deputies found a Michigan identification card with the suspects name and picture on it inside the residence. The victim confirmed that identification belonged to the suspect who had stabbed him. The victim advised Deputies that his girlfriend was probably headed to the North Hill Farms Townhouses. Deputies drove over to the North Hill Farms Townhouses and began looking for the suspect and the suspect vehicle.
Deputies located the suspect vehicle in front of 82 Candlelight Lane. The vehicle was unoccupied. There was fresh blood smeared on the exterior of the suspect vehicle. Deputies observed fresh foot prints in the snow leading away from the vehicle. The foot prints lead Deputies to 82 Candlelight Lane. Deputies observed a female suspect inside the home who matched the description of the suspect. Deputies knocked at the door and gave verbal commands to the suspect to walk towards them and to exit the residence. The suspect refused to exit the residence. Deputies made entry into the home. The suspect was identified and taken into custody without incident
An Evidence Technician was requested and responded to process both scenes. Evidence was collected and placed into property. The suspect vehicle was impounded, and upon conducting an inventory search of the vehicle, a long knife with fresh blood on it was found inside the vehicle. The victim was treated by Paramedics from Star EMS and later transported to McLaren-Oakland Hospital where he is listed in stable condition. The suspect was transported to the Oakland County Jail where she was lodged pending the issuance of criminal charges.
