CHEBOYGAN, MI – Cheboygan County Sheriff Dale Clarmont stated over the last month his department conducted two separate criminal sexual conduct investigations.
The first investigation led to the arrest of Lloyde Amos Miller 43-years-old, from Wolverine. It is alleged Miller had sexual contact a minor which led the Cheboygan County Prosecutor’s Office to issue a felony warrant for Miller. Lloyde Miller was arrested by deputies on February 11th, 2019, for one count of criminal sexual conduct 1st degree, a life felony and furnishing alcohol to a minor, a misdemeanor.
Miller was also charged as a habitual offender 4th offense for four previous criminal sexual conduct 2nd degree convictions in Iosco and Cheboygan Counties involving a person under 13 years of age.
Miller was denied bond. He is due back in court February 20th, 2019, at 10:30am.
The second investigation of criminal sexual conduct led to the arrest of David Nils Calleaux Jr., 33-years-old, from Cheboygan, after his department received information a child under 13 years of age may have been sexually assaulted over the past two months.
It is alleged Calleaux had sexual contact with the child which led the Cheboygan County Prosecutor’s Office to issue a 5 count felony warrant for Calleaux’s arrest. Calleaux was arrested by deputies on February 12, 2019.
Calleaux faces four counts of criminal sexual conduct 1st degree, life felonies and one count of accosting a child for immoral purposes, a 4 year felony. Calleaux was also charged a habitual offender 4th for convictions in Wayne and Cheboygan counties for drugs and breaking and entering convictions.
Calleaux was denied bond. He is due back in court February 21, 2019 at 10:30am.
