Detroit Police need Information on Attempted Westside Arson Suspect [Video]

DETROIT, MI – The Detroit Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in locating and identifying an unknown suspect wanted in connection with an Attempt Arson incident that occurred on the city’s west side.

On February 10, at approximately 1:00 a.m., at a Greenlight location gas station, located in the 10000 block of W 8 Mile Rd, an unknown suspect came into the location and opened a can of lighter fluid from the isle then poured it on the floor in front of the counter. The suspect struck a lighter threatening to set the gas station on fire. After failing to light the fire, suspect fled the location on foot in an unknown direction.

No injuries were sustained.

Suspect-unknown black male, 5’6, 140lbs, dark complexion, wearing a dark colored jacket possible light colored pants with white shoes.
