DETROIT, MI – On Thursday March 7th, 2019, at approximately 10:30 p.m., MSP 911 received calls of a single-vehicle traffic crash on the Lodge Freeway, southbound, near Mt. Vernon.
The investigation revealed that the 31-year-old driver of a 2005 Kia lost control and crashed into the median.
The driver was ejected onto the freeway. She was transported to Providence Southfield and was listed in critical/serious condition at the time of the crash. Troopers observed an open bottle of alcohol inside the vehicle. A blood draw was completed.
The driver was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash. The investigation is continuing by the Metro North Post.
