SPRINGDALE TOWNSHIP, MI – A Cadillac Michigan State Police Trooper executed a traffic stop that resulted in an arrest of a wanted man for outstanding warrants and new drug charges.
The vehicle was stopped on March 9th, 2019, at about 2:50PM, on Healy Lake Rd. near 13 Mile Rd. The vehicle’s passenger was identified as 37-year-old Jason Davis of Bear Lake. Davis has outstanding warrants out of Grand Traverse County and was taken into custody. A search of his person revealed substances believed to be illegal drugs.
The driver was identified as 33-year-old Amber Oshea, of Kelva. Oshea became non-compliant during the roadside investigation. The trooper became suspicious that she was attempting to hide or destroy evidence. She refused to follow several commands from the trooper and was also taken into custody. A search of the vehicle produced additional suspected drugs, and evidence of IV drug use.
Both Davis and Oshea were lodged in the Manistee County Jail. Upon reviewing the case, the Manistee County Prosecutor’s Office issued a felony warrant charging Oshea with Possession of Meth, Possession of Analoges, Possession of a Schedule 5 Controlled Substance, and Resisting and Obstructing Arrest an Officer. A felony warrant was also issued for Davis, who was charged with Possession of Meth/Ecstasy and Possession of Analoges.
Both subjects were arraigned yesterday in the 85th District Court.
