Detroit Police looking for Person of Interest in Westside Fatal Hit and Run

DETROIT, MI – The Detroit Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the driver of a vehicle wanted as a person of interest to a fatal hit-and-run that occurred on the city’s west side.

On Saturday, March 9th, 2019, at approximately 10:10 p.m., the 17 year old male victim attempting to cross the street when he was struck by two vehicles. The person of interest, seen in the surveillance video, was in the area at the time of the incident. The vehicle was seen driving nouthbound on Gratiot, make a U-turn and continue southbound on Gratiot.

The victim was transported to the where he succumbed to his injuries.
