PONTIAC, MI – Two people were arrested on Friday March 22nd, 2019 after they allegedly were involved in the stabbing a 42-year-old Pontiac woman.
At about 12:40AM, Oakland County Sheriff’s Deputies and the Waterford Regional Fire Department responded to the 10 block of N. Shirley Street on the report of a subject being stabbed.
Upon arrival, Deputies located a woman lying in the street suffering from multiple stab wounds. She was able to identify her attacker and provide Deputies with a description of the vehicle that her assailant had fled in.
Deputies responding to the scene located the fleeing vehicle and conducted a traffic stop on it.
The vehicle was occupied by a 37-year-old woman, the driver, and a 42-year-old man, the passenger, both residents of Pontiac. The male passenger was later identified as the suspect. The suspect and driver were taken into custody. Deputies located the knife used in the attack.
Paramedics arrived on the scene and stabilized the victim. She was transported by Paramedics from Star EMS to McLaren-Oakland Hospital further treatment. The victim is listed in stable condition.
Oakland County Sheriff’s Detectives were notified and responded to begin their investigation. The suspect and driver were transported to the Pontiac Substation to speak with Detectives. Both suspects were subsequently lodged at the Oakland County Jail pending the issuance of criminal charges. Detectives are continuing with the investigation.
