Detroit Man Arrested in Pennsylvania after Crashing Stolen Vehicle

LANCASTER COUNTY, PA – Pennsylvania State Police have charged a Michigan man with theft along with other offenses after he crashed a stolen vehicle on Saturday morning on the Pennsylvania Turnpike in Brecknock Township.JEFFREY EUGENE CRAWFORD

The accident occurred at approximately 8:00AM on eastbound I-76.

Jeffrey Eugene Crawford, 24-years-old, of Detroit, has been charged with theft, receiving stolen property, and providing false identification to law enforcement.

Jeffery Crawford was driving a 2002 Chevy Trailblazer that was stolen in Detroit.

Crawford was immediately taken into custody at the scene of the crash.

Based on records from the Michigan Department of Corrections, Jeffrey Crawford has previous convictions for:

  1. Car Jacking
  2. 2 Counts of Armed Robbery

Crawford was on probation at the time of his arrest.
