KALKASKA COUNTY, MI – Troopers from the Houghton Lake Post were sent to investigate the sexual assault of a 3-year-old child this morning, Friday April 5th, 2019.
The investigation resulted in the arrest of 31-year-old Mark Anthony Hill from Fife Lake for CSC 1st Degree. He was arraigned in Kalkaska today.
Michigan State Police Troopers from the Houghton Lake Post were sent to an address in Springfield Township to investigate a reported Criminal Sexual Assault of a 3-year-old girl. Officers were advised by the home owner that a family friend who was staying the night has sexually assaulted their 3-year-old daughter while they were asleep. He had since fled the scene.
The 3-year-old girl was seen by medical personnel at Kalkaska Memorial Medical Center for injuries sustained during the assault. Troopers collected evidence and concluded that Robert Hill had allegedly committed a sexual assault on the child while the parents were in fact sleeping.
Shortly after speaking with the victim and her family, Troopers arrested Mark Hill and he was arraigned this afternoon in the 87th District Court in Kalkaska on one count of Criminal Sexual Conduct 1st Degree and is being held on a $1,000,000 bond in the Kalkaska County Jail.
