GEORGETOWN TOWNSHIP, MI – Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office Detectives are investigating yet another break-in of a Jenison cellphone store.
This latest crime occurred Tuesday morning April 16th, 2019, at about 4:30AM, at the T-Mobile Metro Store located at 401 Baldwin Street. In this incident the suspect(s) broke a rear glass door and entered the building.
After entering the store the suspect(s) took phones and iPads from the display area and left the store in a very short time. The perpetrators left in an unknown direction.
The OCSO has been working with other law enforcement agencies in West Michigan (to include Grand Haven PD, Wyoming, Kentwood, and Grand Rapids PDs, along with the Kent County Sheriff’s Office) as it is thought that several recent like crimes are related.
In Ottawa County alone this is the 8th incident since October of 2018. Total losses in Ottawa Co. crimes exceed $40,000 alone.
