FLINT, MI – A Grand Blanc Township man was sentenced to a minimum term of 45 years in prison for the 2018 shooting death of another man outside Kicker’s Sports Bar & Grill in Grand Blanc.
Last month, a jury convicted Darrell Patrick Hunter, 49-years-old, of shooting and killing 35-year-old Vince Robinson at Kicker’s on May 6, 2018. In addition to second degree murder, the jury found Hunter guilty of felony firearm second offense, felon in possession of a firearm, felon in possession of ammunition, and carrying a concealed weapon.
The Court sentenced Hunter to a minimum 40 years on the second degree murder conviction and Michigan’s felony firearm statute mandated a minimum and consecutive sentence of an additional 5 years.
“The Grand Blanc Township Police Department and my staff did a fantastic job in this case and, as a result, Darrell Hunter will be off our streets and in prison until he is at least 94-years-old before he will be eligible for parole,” said Genesee County Prosecutor Leyton.
