Illegal Marijuana Grow Operation Discovered after Homeowner Held-up at Gunpoint

ROYAL OAK TOWNSHIP, MI – On Tuesday May 21st, 2019, at approximately 11:15PM, MSP 911 received a call of three suspicious subjects dressed in black attempting to open a window located on a house in the 10700 block of N. North Oaks Drive in the Charter Township of Royal Oak.Marijuana arrest

The caller believed the suspects briefly left the residence before returning to the home holding a gun to one of the homeowners, forcing them into the residence before the suspects fled from the residence again.

Troopers responding to the scene located one male suspect running a short distance away. Troopers cleared the house, confirming all the suspects had fled. One of the homeowners sustained a laceration (minor injury) from being struck by a suspect. EMS treated the homeowner

Troopers are currently processing the crime scene and interviewing the suspect in custody as well as the homeowners. Inside of the home, there appears to be an illegal marijuana grow operation.
